Justine Haemmerli '07

Justine Haemmerli '07
Justine Haemmerli graduated from the MAT Program in 2007. After teaching in public schools in the Bronx & Brooklyn, and working with the MAT Program as the NYC Program Coordinator, she moved to Philadelphia in 2012. In Philly she wears many hats - working as a coach, facilitator, adjunct professor, educational consultant, board member, community organizer, and writer. Everything Justine does boils down to this: she is passionate about connecting and supporting those who strive to do good, and live purposefully. For four years she ran Pedalogical, a company that convenes communities around social good and helps nonprofits to create thoughtful & lasting learning experiences for youth and adults. She is also the founder of Make it Right PHL, a community of over 2k Philadelphians working on social justice initiatives across the city. Her next project is Girls Gone Happy, an online community for women committed to personal growth and collective change. Justine was named one of Billy Penn's Who's Next Entrepreneurs of 2017, was recently recognized as one of the “Next Generation of Women Leadership: Moxie Women Rising Stars” by Councilwoman Blondell Reynolds Brown, and she is a Leadership Philadelphia 2017 Connector & Keeper. She's also a proud mom to her beautiful and powerful 17 month old daughter, Rosie!
